Gama Electrostatic Coatings was founded in 1972, and in 1979, a young technician named Steve Philo joined the team as a prepper. He learned the trade from the ground up — developing a deep understanding of surface prep, coating techniques, and the precision that electrostatic painting requires.

In 2004, after years of hands-on experience, Steve became a subcontractor. By 2007, he officially took over the company — continuing its commitment to quality, professionalism, and personal service.

Today, Steve Philo remains a proud owner-operator. He’s not just the name behind the company — he’s the one showing up onsite, overseeing jobs, and ensuring every project meets our exacting standards.
